Dr. Connie Copeland came to optometry as a second career. She did her undergraduate schooling at Duke University and then went to graduate school in Cell Biology at Yale University where she earned a PhD. After working several years in research, she decided to become an optometrist and earned her OD degree from Ohio State University college of Optometry in 1997.
Over the next 20 years she has practiced optometry in various capacities in Wisconsin. Dr. Copeland has a strong background in retina, refractive surgery and low vision. As a primary care optometrist she especially enjoys fitting young people in their first contact lenses.
Dr. Copeland moved to Illinois in 2017 and lives in St. Charles with her daughter and her two crazy cats.
